Creating the perfect wedding menu is actually an easy affair. However, it sometimes proves to be rather complicated to the person who has never actually catered any event before. When considering wedding menu ideas, remember that you have a choice between non-vegetarian, vegetarian, special dietary dishes and perhaps some alternative dish for those who may have certain preferences.

All wedding menu ideas follow the basis of starters or hors d’oevourse, salads, the main course and puddings. You can choose between having a buffet or a sit-down menu for the wedding. However, if you choose to have a buffet menu, the process of serving the guests may take some time, and you should accordingly plan your wedding dinner keeping this extra need of time into consideration. Moreover, there are some wedding menu ideas that include house liquors that are served during the hors d’Oeuvres round of food. These rates also include the house red and white wine that is served with the main course.

This is basically the most common wedding menu ideas you can think for your wedding. However, there are many other wedding menu ideas that may implemented for your event. If you are on a tight budget, and are having your wedding away from your home place, you could perhaps arrange for an early morning wedding that is followed with a heavy breakfast of waffles, pancakes, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, etc. However, if you opt for this wedding and breakfast, you have to think of something to keep your guests busy the remaining of the day!

Another tight-budgeted wedding menu idea would be one serving only brunch type food for the wedding, along with only mimosas as alcohol. This saves on lots of money, while guests appreciate the fact that food and alcohol is served for the wedding. Then there is the idea of taking all your guests to some fast food joint like Burger King or Kentucky Fried Chicken. With this arrangement, the wedding couple saves on a lot of money; and this money can be utilized in something more beneficial or productive like down payment on a second house or a car.

Another idea for your wedding menu is having a curry buffet where you could include tandori chicken, dhal, pilau rice and samosa. This delicious food caters for a special wedding menu that may be organized in a local restaurant which in turn is rather cheap, but tasty! Another great wedding menu idea would be to have different, cheap menus for children and adults. This way you will be sure that everyone in the wedding would have enjoyed the food!
