A honeymoon in the mountains is best

If you want a honeymoon in the mountains, you really need to consider renting a cabin in the Great Smokey Mountains in Tennessee.

But if you choose the mountains as your destination, be creative and get your new bride a cabin with all the
amenities of a first class hotel but with enough privacy where you can “get busy” in the hot tub on the deck.

My family and I just had one of the most awesome and relaxing vacations ever and we spent it in a cabin that
was fully furnished. It had a pool table, 2 indoor jacuzzis and an 2 person hot tub on the deck overlooking
the mountains.

The cabin we stayed in would sleep 8 so there will be more than enough space for two. While we were there we saw wild turkeys, deer, a wild peacock and scorpions.

What’s even better is that the cabin, which looked more like a vacation home in Colorado was only $130 per night and if you rented the cabin for 3 nights, the fourth night was free.

The cabin is located close to all the attractions and you can be in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park in
15-20 minutes, Knoxville in 40-45 minutes and in some true outlet mall shopping in less than 5 minutes. And of course you can do all the tourist stuff that your little heart desires in Dollywood.

You would really enjoy your trip if you spend most of it in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park instead of the tourist trap that Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have become. While you are in the park you will see unusual wildlife, waterfalls, old homeplaces and other interesting things. You’ll especially enjoy some time spent in the many old graveyards located around the park. Be sure to go on a horseback ride before you leave. Its a great way to see parts of the park without driving.

The best deals on cabins are found on the internet. Do a search for Smokey Mountain cabins and you’ll get more results than you know what to do with.

Our cabin was rented from Fireside and made our reservation over the phone. You must call for current availability.

Have a great honeymoon and visit the mountains, you’ll be glad you did.
