Beach Weddings Trends

There seems to be a growing trend in South West Florida. Couples are flying in from neighboring states, neighboring and sometimes far-away countries to be married on the sands of Florida Beaches, namely those in the Fort Myers area.

Why this trend? I think couples are moving away from the big expensive bash with all its headaches and subtleties in favor of a beach weddings - a ceremony that is intensely meaningful, relaxed and fun.

The reasons may be more than cost and anxiety. Sometimes it's a second marriage, sometimes it is an interfaith issue, sometimes it is a relative problem and sometimes it is just a casual way to incorporate children into the ceremony in a special way. The reasons are many and varied.

Beach weddings are special as potential brides and grooms help write their own vows and often the ceremonies themselves, with a little help from the minister. The outdoors, whether a beach or waterfront gazebo provide the informality that allows not only a casual atmosphere but a place where children can be children, within limits, of course. Brides usually where long white gowns but Grooms usually come in more casual white pants and matching white shirt or white jacket. A beach wedding is really quite breathtaking, especially at sunrise or sunset.
