Procession During the Ceremony

The wedding party is usually the ones who have a special part in the wedding ceremony. They are the individuals who proceed down the aisle in the church before the bride makes her entrance or stand beside the groom at the front of the ceremony location. Due to their important role in the wedding, it is their time to walk before the wedding guests and pave the way for the ceremony to begin. This is where everyone initially views the wedding party.

Announcement

Once the wedding ceremony has concluded and the bride and groom along with their wedding party and guests move over to the wedding reception location, another important aspect will take place which is the announcement. Once everyone has arrived to the reception spot and had a cocktail and some hors devours, the band members or DJ will announce the wedding party in front of all the guests. The group will come out when they are announced and make way for the bride and groom to be announced and presented to the crowd.

Dance

Sometime during the wedding reception the wedding party will be called to the dance floor and asked to dance together to a previously chosen song selected by the bride and groom. This is a way for the party to join together on the dance floor and show their great dance moves along with the bride and groom. These dances may be to slow songs or fast songs, depending on what the bride and groom have chosen.

Photographs

Throughout the day the they will also have to join together for photographs. These may be taken in such a way to picture all of the group thereof, such as all of the bridesmaids, all of the groomsmen, etc. These photographs are often taken prior to the ceremony, after the ceremony and during the reception. This is a great way for the bride and groom to have lasting photographs of their closest friends and family members.

The wedding party plays a huge role in the overall festivities of the wedding day. Not only do they take care of the bride and groom but they help them to make their day even that much better. These are just some of the things which the wedding party will undertake on the big day and this list can change depending upon the individual bride and groom and their wishes.
