At many spots along the California coast, a hostess does not always give much thought to the bridal shower décor. At many coastal locations, a hostess can simply open-up a bay window, and allow guests to take-in the panoramic view. Such ocean views are typically quite romantic, and therefore they can compensate for an elaborate bridal shower décor.
The same approach could be taken by any hostess with a large bay window, especially if that window looks out on a romantic scene. During the winter months, almost any window scene with snow can look a bit romantic. Hence, almost any window scene with snow could provide a fitting bridal shower décor.
Of course, not every hostess lives in a home along the coast, and not every hostess lives in a location where there is snow during the winter months. For such hostesses, greater thought must be given to the creation of an appropriate bridal shower décor. For such hostesses, it might be necessary to devote time to careful study.
What would a hostess need to study? What information, obtained from her investigation, could she expect to use when deciding on the best decorations? The answers to those questions would depend on the hostess’ primary intent.
Suppose, for example, that the hostess wanted to reflect the past romance of the area in which the shower would take place. She might then learn about earlier wedding ceremonies in the same locale. She could then use elements from those past wedding ceremonies to dress-up her bridal shower décor.
A hostess might decide instead to focus on the spot where the couple plans to have their honeymoon. She would then add to the bridal shower décor different objects that are associated with that spot. For example, if the couple planned to go to Hawaii, then the hostess might decorate with leis and whole pineapples.
Sometimes a hostess might feel that a future bride would prefer to have the shower hostess focus on the couple’s future plans, For instance, if a young couple planned to marry and then serve as missionaries, the hostess could focus on the location where they would perform their service. If a hostess were to take that approach then her selection of the bridal shower décor might require extra time and effort.
A hostess could approach such a task with a bit of humor. For instance, if a couple planned to go to a locale where there would be lots of mosquitoes, the hostess could then think about using mosquito netting in her shower décor. If they would be living in a very mountainous region, then the hostess might want to decorate with all sorts of mountain climbing gear. Of course, it might be difficult to make mountain gear appear romantic.
