Decorating with Flowers
A perfect wedding florist is not easy to find, especially if you have a budgeted sum of money and are also expecting good quality service. Decorating with flowers is an aspect of wedding decor that is ultimately very important to most bride and groom. If the bride and the groom with their friends and family have the time, skill and the patience to do some of the wedding decorations themselves, then that is the ideal thing to do. Each wedding couple wants their wedding hall to look glorious and will search to find the perfect wedding flower decorator.
Hiring a perfect decorator could be tedious and no decorator is perfect, but at least you should find one who listens to your ideas, takes pride in his work and delivers good quality. You could check on websites, ask your local flower-shop, or consult a wedding planner’s bureau for specific wedding vendors that have experience decorating with flowers.
Once you have short listed a few wedding floral decorators, it is important to check out their reputations. Most bureaus will have a register of complaints, but check out with the people from whom you have got the contacts. Maybe you could also check out their reputation by contacting some of their customers, who may have recommended the flower decorator to you.
In any case, you should collect references from the decorator, before finalizing your contract with him. Take the time and the effort to contact the people and ask them for the necessary information. You can also ask the vendor to show you weddings photographs of some of his decorations, which would make it easier for you to check out his credentials.
The decorator may like to show you a sample of his work decorating with flowers, and if he doesn’t you can ask for it. Visit the venue where he has done the decorating with flower, and you might even get some new ideas. Also, if you already have an idea about the decorations, and you see it in real life, it may not really look as good as you had pictured it from the magazine.
Payment terms should be made clear right from the beginning. The floral decorator may ask for a deposit, or payment for the first consultation, so that you do not enter into any hassles after the event is over. Read and understand the contract thoroughly, and sign it only if you are totally satisfied. Take friends and family to help you out, because the ideas may be yours, but the implementation needs to be checked and controlled at every step, and that responsibility can be given to a trustworthy friend.
Silk flowers are often used for decorations, and there may be various other rental items in it too. You can easily check out all the things, how good and fresh they look and approve accordingly.
You should make sure that the quotes given by the decorator are only given after he has seen the wedding site. Make your presence felt when he is setting up the decoration, but do not interfere too much with his work at the last minute, because you have already discussed all points with him earlier in detail.
