A wedding is known by its party, the food or the feast offered whatever way you want to call it. The anxiety is regarding the cost, the choice and the varieties of the dish, or perhaps the style, and the decision whether to make it simple or grant. It is true that the food that you offer in the wedding catering needs to be fitting to the occasion, the time and the place. Many may find the planning food for a party difficult and time consuming. A few food tips would be of use to you, if you are one who is going to tie the wedding knot in the near future!
Choose the right food for the occasion
A wedding party can be as simple as a pot luck dinner and as costly as a hot buffet meal of prime rib. Every thing depends on two factors –the budget and the preference. Of course other factors like the theme of the wedding, the season of the wedding, the preference of the bride and the groom matters, and budget for wedding catering, if need be. The place, the number of expected guests, the style, whether it is western or an Asian or a pure conventional style etc also have to be considered while finalizing the wedding party.
There is a party for every budget and every season. If budget is not a constraint you can go for a hot buffet meal that contains both hot and cold items. The buffet can be an expensive prime rib feast and can also be low cost meatballs over rice. To have a precise idea on the budget that you need to spend, the same has to be assessed based cost per person for wedding catering. On the other hand it can be a cold buffet also. The only requirement is enough fridge space. Yet another idea for those that have limited budget is a dessert buffet. You save the exorbitant cost of a full meal but still have a marvelous wedding party. One of the expensive desserts is the cheesecakes. It allows you to make the meal and Preserve it long before the wedding.
If one chooses to make the party simple and elegant a cocktail would be an ideal choice. The appetizers can be prepared and made ready well in advance and the beverage can be modest like wine or punch. Some of the cocktail hour canapés are apricot coins, dried plum walnut phyllo triangle, coriander lime shrimp, potatoes and peas samosa blue cheese gougers to mention a few. With a little creativity and planning, all of this can be created without expensive wedding catering.
For such of those that prefer a wedding in a garden or a farm and makes the reception in the eve, an evening tea party would be a good choice. While the cost remains moderate it does the serve the purpose and save a lot of money, time, and wastages.
You can have your own special ideas of food and catering for a wedding that is unique, economical and elegant. One need not be a chef for the same as many such ideas are available on line sites and one can also discuss with the friends and relatives before arriving at a decision.
