Designer Wedding Gowns Shopping

Designer Wedding Gowns Shopping Filed under: Wedding Dresses and Gowns — site admin @ 4:52 pm

A majority of the designer wedding gowns show-off the bare shoulders of the bride. Some wedding gowns have spaghetti straps; such straps are usually beaded. A few brides have walked down the aisle in wedding gowns with a thin strap that wraps around the back of the bride’s neck.

In addition to the straps, the distinguishing features of a designer wedding gown make their appearance in the bodice, the styling and the train. Some gowns have a pleated bodice; others have a plain or beaded bodice. Some gowns have a detachable train. Some gowns have a bow at the waist.

Designer gowns with an A-line style are generally favored by young brides. Some brides elect to wear a gown with a bell-shaped bottom. Some brides choose to wear a gown bottom that fits more snuggly than the asymmetrical neckline wedding gown. A few brides even do without the gown; they wear thin and lovely pants below a dressy blouse.

When shopping for a designer bridal gown, a future bride should be familiar with the names of the top gown designers. She ought to have at least heard these names: Ian Stuart, Alan Hannah, Maggie Sottero, Augusta Jones and Kate Sherford. While the others can promise experience, Kate Sherford can offer some fresh and new ideas.

A future bride might want to look for a gown designer who can satisfy the bride’s special concerns. If a future bride needs to be fitted for a chosen gown, she would probably like a free or low-cost fitting. If the future bride plans to travel with the gown, then the designer should offer her a way to pack her selected gown for air travel.

A reputable gown designer delivers to the bride a gown that is clean, pressed and ready-to-wear. At that point, the gown’s fate is in the hands of the future bride. A wise bride makes a point of keeping her gown unwrinkled and unstained until her special day. She stores it in a spot that she knows she can reach the day of the wedding.

A bride should do justice to the time and effort of her gown designer. She is apt to appear flustered, if she has spent part of the day engineering a way to get to a thoughtlessly stored designer wedding gown. A bride who looks flustered is not apt to seem graceful. Her flustered appearance is likely to spoil the graceful lines of her designer gown
