Having a lavish wedding may not be the best wedding. Sometimes, simple weddings prove to be rather interesting and relaxed to hold, and to attend! Not much money is spent on a simple wedding, and guests and family are generally relaxed and enjoy themselves in such weddings.

When you simplify your wedding planning details, it is not necessary to wear a formal wedding dress. Anything you are comfortable in will do. Even a sundress, dress or a pantsuit are all great ideas. And for grooms, maybe jeans or khakis, a casual shirt, an optional tie and a simple sports coat are sufficient.

There is no need of holding the wedding in some elaborate locale; your parents’ backyard, the community center or the local park will do. Some simple wedding ideas for the locality of the wedding will be an art gallery, a barn or any place that relates your nature and personalities. There is no need of making elaborate invitations for the wedding. An informal invitation, like a message to a friend is more than sufficient.

Using simple bulbs like tulips instead of floral flower arrangements is a good idea for the wedding. And for the wedding table centerpieces, a flat container with wheat grass and gerber daisies makes an interesting piece of decoration. When it comes to choosing the menu, a great simple wedding idea would be to hold a party a few months before your wedding. Instead of just partying, ask your guests to bring a recipe each, as a favor. You can then try all these recipes, and decide on which turn out the best, and are your favorite. You can then make these dishes for your wedding; and place a label indicating whose it is in front of each dish. Holding a barbeque or picnic fare is also not a bad idea.

The simple wedding would be the one that is incorporated with all traditions so as to make the wedding day something special. Remember that the most important part of a wedding is not the decorations or the food; it is the ceremony. So why not write the ceremony down by timing the patterns of vows that are followed in the wedding ceremony.

When registering the marriage, have the registration done in inexpensive places. There is no need of using expensive china and silver; the registration is meant to make you happy for getting each other; not to show off your silver and china!
