Fall Wedding Thank You Cards

Fall Wedding Thank You Cards Filed under: Theme Wedding, Unique Wedding Invitations — site admin @ 11:26 pm

Contrary to misconception, fall wedding thank you cards should be planned and ordered at the same time as the wedding invitations and other wedding items. These cards show guests that their attendance and gifts during the wedding ceremony is appreciated by the wedded couple. Thank you cards should also be sent to wedding vendors, members of the bridal entourage, the clergy and for everyone who takes part in the ceremony. Notes of thanks should also be given to people who threw bridal shower parties in honor of the bride. Social etiquette dictates that this be done and sent within two weeks after the honeymoon or within three months after the wedding.

Fall wedding thank you cards should be sent out immediately for gifts that had been received before the wedding day. Aside from showing how much the gesture has been appreciated, this also informs the giver that their gifts had been received already. Informally thanking guests through emails or phone calls is fine however, this does not mean that formal thank you cards should no longer be sent out. For guests who gave multiple gifts, a separate thank you card for each gift should be given. Also, individual thank you notes for guests who split up the cost of a particular unique gift should be given. The number of fall wedding thank you cards to be printed should be more than the number of fall wedding invitations ordered. The extra thank you cards will be reserved in case, more than the expected number of gifts is received.

For most couples, deciding what thank you card wording to use is difficult. However, it is not recommended that these notes be pre-printed since this makes it too impersonal. Preprinted thank you notes may be sent out but a brief personal message from the couple should be included. For ideas about what wording to use, couples can find help from websites and online wedding directories. All notes in thank you cards for fall weddings should be handwritten to make the message more sincere. Mentioning the exact gift in the thank you note will let the guest know how much the gift is appreciated.

In order to make the task of sending out fall thank you cards easier, both the bride and groom should be helping out each other. Gone are the days when only the bride should take care of writing the thank you cards. To make the job faster to accomplish, witty or original messages may not be written to each thank you card since the recipients would not be comparing thank you notes. The invitation list or the guest book may be used as a reference or as a checklist for the names of guests to whom the thank you cards should be sent to.
