Fishing Theme Wedding

Fishing Theme Wedding Filed under: Theme Wedding — site admin @ 10:27 am

If you like to have a wedding theme in which outdoor nature has a role to play, you can easily choose a fishing theme. With this type of themed wedding, you will be able to share your affection for nature with your guests. A fishing theme cannot exactly be called feminine, but it is beautiful nonetheless because it concerns nature. For this type of wedding, the first thing needed is a theme related ceremony location. It makes a lot of sense if you rent a sporting resort where you marry and hold the reception as well.

If you feel that is not romantic enough, choose a lakeside to tie the knot. A lakeside wedding will make the fishing theme more real. For those who are fond of boating, it is not a bad idea to get married on a large boat. If the boat is small, the wedding couple will have to leave their guests at shore.

One should never forget that wedding invitations set the theme and provide the guests with an indication of a suitable dress to wear on the occasion. If you can make the invitation more original and exciting, you are sure to have guests at your wedding.
The miniature tackle box is an excellent fishing invitation idea. The couples can add mini scrolled invitations inside the boxes, which are available in bulk quantities in the market. Boxed invitations, in addition, can give their recipients a pleasant surprise.

Talking of fishing theme wedding décor, it is just minimal when held outdoor. If it is a lakeside wedding, the couple may prefer using a wedding arch to highlight the ceremony area. Fold up chairs can be provided for the guests, each of them decorated with wide ribbon tied at its back. For even greater effects, the bride and the groom can include mini fishing poles or decorative fish hanging from the ribbon as well.

To do justice to the theme, a fishing theme wedding can do with a reception having a seafood restaurant style. Fishing nets can be spread all over the walls. When the net is draped, the reception location embraces the theme. One can add lobsters to the net to give it a more complete look. If an old wooden boat can be placed at the reception, it adds further authenticity to the theme. Why leave out fish in the menu at a fishing theme wedding? Serve things such as shrimp, salmon, tuna, and crab. Just be careful to include some non-fish items for those who choose to forgo fish. A fishing theme wedding can be real fun – no doubt about that.
