Bridal Shower Party Themes
If one uses a search engine to obtain some bridal shower theme ideas, then one typically gets suggestions that focus on the shower gifts. In fact, a hostess can influence the gift choice by choosing certain of the many bridal shower theme ideas. If, for example, she chooses a kitchen theme, then the guests would be apt to bring items for the kitchen.
The kitchen theme is a popular theme, but it is only one of the many possible bridal shower theme ideas. It is by no means the only theme idea. Perhaps the future bride and her husband like to entertain, in which case they would want gifts designed for the host and hostess. A bridal hostess should be able to imagine a hostess theme. Perhaps they expect to be doing a lot of gardening. In that case the hostess would want to choose a gardening theme.
Of course the theme ideas can move beyond the items brought by the guests. Bridal shower theme ideas do not have to focus on the nature of the shower gifts. They can focus on other aspects of the couple’s future plans.
Will the couple be moving to a military base? If so, where is the base located? The hostess might want to plan a theme around life on a military base or on life in the community where the couple will be living.
Will the couple be moving to a big city? Most big cities have certain tales associated with them. The tone of such tales could be used in the development of theme ideas. If the couple is moving from the city to the country, then the shower theme might focus on the produce grown in the area where the couple will be living.
Suppose, for example, that a couple from San Diego were planning to move to Fallbrook, CA. In that case the bridal shower theme ideas ought to center around the avocado. After all Fallbrook, CA is called the “avocado capital of the world.”
Suppose that a couple from Philadelphia were planning to move to Lancaster, PA. In that case one would not necessarily put bridal shower food ideas in the theme. In that case one might want to focus on the proximity of the Amish community. The shower hostess might want to decorate with all sorts of Hex signs. She could then offer her guests slices of shoo-fly pie.
Suppose that the couple has planned to live in a city with a big university and a well-known football team. Suppose, for example that the couple would be living in the neighborhood of USC. In that case the hostess might provide her guests with a look at various ways to cheer-on the Trojans.
The hostess should feel free to consider whatever theme best fits with her available resources. The hostess should not feel restricted by the limited number of bridal shower ideas provided to the user of a search engine. The hostess must use her imagination and think-up some truly original bridal shower themes and ideas. Then she can discuss her ideas with friends and family of the future bride.
Together, they should find a theme that will please the guests, the future bride and the shower hostess.
