Book in Advance

One of the main things that you should keep in mind is that the sooner that you book something, the more likely you will be to get exactly what you are looking for. You should make sure that you book everything in advance- including the places where you plan on having your wedding ceremony and reception, caterers, DJ’s, and anything else that you want to have at your wedding. It is not unlikely for these things to all be booked for years in advance, so you should call to make your reservations as soon as possible.

Figure Out Numbers

One of the most important things that you need to do is know exactly how many people you are planning on inviting. This is important because certain places that you may be interested in for your reception may only hold a certain amount of people. Also, if you are looking to keep the price of your wedding down, you might want to eliminate people early in the process.

Know Your Price Range

You should know your price range before you begin planning anything. You want to have a good estimate of how much you, and anyone else who might be paying for your wedding, can afford to spend before you make any extravagant plans. While many of us would love to have fifty thousand dollar weddings, the truth is that some people cannot even afford to have five thousand dollar weddings. Knowing your price range before you begin can be very helpful.
