A wedding scrapbook is a treasure the married couple will look back upon days after the wedding and still years after the wedding. The scrapbook is a project the couple can design and build together, or it is a gift close friends and relatives may choose to give the couple. Either way, it is a wonderful collection of memories that the couple is sure to appreciate for a lifetime.
Wedding scrapbooks are usually a collection of favorite photographs and memorabilia packaged in a beautiful album. With the variety of scrap booking materials on the market, wedding scrapbook enthusiasts are able to add embellishments, words, captions and flair to the text.
Beach weddings are a perfect backdrop for wedding scrapbook ideas. Choosing a natural fiber, possibly with textured pages, would mimic the look and feel of beach sand. Couples may choose to collect shells while on their vacation or wedding destination. Gluing small seashells onto pages and creating a frame around favorite photos would be a darling touch to the scrapbook. If gluing is not an option, threading a Ziploc bag of tiny shells will equally display their beauty and the couple’s attachment to the sea. Choosing a deep blue pen or marker to jot memories or captions beside a photograph would be ideal with a beach theme. The blue writing would model the blue sea and help bring the couple back to the colorful scenery of their wedding day. Bouquet ribbons can serve to bind the wedding scrapbook, or small samples of the ribbons could be glued next to pictures of the wedding day flowers. A nostalgic bride will not be able to resist running a finger over the fragile ribbon. Dried flowers from the bride’s bouquet would be another delicate touch. A wedding scrapbook from the beach can even include sand! A Ziploc bag can contain the fine grains, or a sprinkling of glue on the page can adhere the particles right to the page! With endless ideas, the endless summer beach wedding will live on in memory and scrapbook.
Scrapbooks for weddings are a great gift idea for a Maid of Honor to present to her bride. Usually, the relationship shared between the two is one that dates many years and carries with it many great memories. An already emotional bride will cry tears of joy when her best friend or sister presents her with a wedding scrapbook during a girls’ day out or at the rehearsal dinner. Capture the big and little moments of the bride’s life with the help of family and friends. Start with her birth, adhering bits of a favorite baby blanket, hospital photos and birth announcements. Follow the bride through her childhood years, adding sports or activity memorabilia and childhood photographs. Include major milestones like high school graduation and the bride’s first date with her soon-to-be husband in the scrapbook. Decorate pages with memories from planning the actual wedding. Cut out pictures of dress ideas, flowers or a copy of the guest list. Be sure to leave many blank pages at the back of the wedding scrapbook! The bride will definitely want to add wedding and honeymoon memories to her treasured gift.
Wedding scrapbook ideas are a wonderful way to add personal touches to treasured memories.
