Low Cost Wedding Favors

Another section has provided details about elegant wedding favors. Such favors are generally expensive. Less elegant favors come with a lower price tag. Still, brides must realize that even low cost wedding favors are not cheap.

A bride can not give her guests the sort of favor presented at a typical dinner party. A wedding favor often carries a persona message. Such personalization to wedding favors adds to the cost of the favor. Such personalization transfers any wedding favor from the category of "cheap" to the class of "low cost wedding favors."

A bride can choose to give each of her guests a candy bar as a wedding favor. If she makes that choice, she can not just purchase a huge bag of candy bars. She needs to request the each bar be given a special wedding wrapping.

Candy makers of the 21st Century have expanded on an idea used in ancient civilizations. Persian brides have long used candy as a wedding favor. They have wrapped hard Persian candies in a coarse lace, tying it with a colorful ribbon. A modern-day bride might want to include similar favors on her reception table, or she may even use it for bridal favors at the shower.

Any item that can be somehow personalized can be used as a wedding favor. A bride can give each guest an engraved favor such as a pen. That would be an excellent way to motivate guests to sign the bride's wedding book.

A bride can use a low-cost favor as a place card holder. She might want to put her place cards in a money clip. Such a favor could possibly be engraved. The bride would, of course, not want to put money in that clip. The favor is intended to help the guest recall the bride's special day.

When selecting cheap wedding favors, the bride must keep in mind the need for the presentation of keepsakes. Such keepsakes are given to members of the bridal party. The keepsakes generally give the recipient an added touch of recognition. The cost of each favor should not exceed the cost of each keepsake.

Some brides have decided to give their guests homemade favors. In that case, the favor maker may have limited means for personalizing the favor. A do it yourself favor would probably not be engraved. Perhaps the bride could have a special message stitched onto a small pillow.

Such stitching would give that pillow the needed note of favor personalization. Such a pillow would not be considered elegant, It would be an affordable wedding favor for brides who are conservative about budget.
