Any discussion of men’s wedding bands should contain the word “Dora.” That is the name of a European company that specializes in the creation of wedding rings. It has achieved an international reputation.
I looked at their website after viewing some other websites, sites created by online merchants who sold men’s wedding bands. Just about all the facts I had collected piecemeal from those various sites could be found on Dora’s website.
Their information made clear the variety of styles that exist among the existing men’s wedding bands. Not all such bands are a simple metal band, a band lacking any distinct features. The person who needs to purchase one of the men’s wedding bands must make a number of decisions
Does he or she want to get a gold band, a titanium band or a platinum band? Maybe the best ring for the nervous, future groom is a tungsten carbide ring. That metal ring contains a number of different angles. Those multiple angles throw any light that touches the ring in many different directions.
Before buying a wedding band for a man, you should learn about all the different features that can add to the uniqueness of such a band. Some men’s wedding bands have a specific etching. (I found one ring with a checker pattern etched on the ring.) Some have an engraving. Some have an inlaid design.
Those features can come with or without the addition of diamonds. If diamonds are to go onto one of the men’s wedding bands, then the person buying that band must decide how the diamonds should be arranged. Should they be embedded in the metal, or should they sit on top of the ring?
Even a man’s ring without stones, etching, engraving or an inlay can be a distinctive ring. That might seem next to impossible, but it is not. Among the existing men’s wedding bands are some that have interlocking rings. Often such interlocking rings have display the distinctive features of two or more different metals.
One other feature should be considered by anyone examining men’s wedding bands. That is the milgrain edge. That thin edge goes around the outer edge of the ring. It can make an otherwise plain ring seem just a shade short of extraordinary.
While searching for information on men’s wedding bands, I found one site that offered information on Irish wedding bands. That is another name for Celtic wedding bands. Those bands give the ring buyer even more options.
