Hi,

I am wondering if it is appropriate to have a bridal shower if I am not having a formal wedding. My fiance wants it to be very intimate with just myself, him, our son and my mom. Please help me!


You can have a stagette party that is loosly based on a Bridal Shower. Games, prizes, gifts and some partying happen at both a bridal shower and a stagette party, but the shower is usually more formal where as the stagette is your friends and family members (usually all female) go out for a night on the town. Alot of couples now are doing "Jack and Jill" Stag Parties where the men and the women have their parties then meet up halfway through the night and continue one together. Have fun with it, there are lots of things you can do to have fun with your friends even if you are having a tiny wedding with just family.
