Friday night wedding

Name: Rhonda Gallagher
Question:

1.) If I had a 4:00 church wedding and reception to follow on a Friday night, what is the etiquette for the reception dinner or food to follow? Considering most people will be coming from work. Also trying to stay on a low budget.

2.) Or the appropriate time for the ceremony and reception on a Friday night.

Friday night is a rather odd night to be having a wedding and a reception because yes the guests are coming from work. What you need to remember is that people will be hungry and you will probably have to have something out for people to munch on while they wait for you and your wedding party to get the things done that would normally happen between wedding and reception. Usually that would be your phots. Finger foods and fruit plates, drinks and meat and cheese trays would work well, and can be picked up for relatively low costs. As for the meal you don't want to go too late because then noone will have any energy to dance and part afterwards so making dinner about 6:30-7pm should leave you with pleanty of time to finish of the rest of your reception.
Have Fun and enjoy your night!
