gift table question

I have seen some place there is a system or list for keeping track of gifts at the wedding table. Such as a number system for both the card and the gift to make sure they stay together or if they get lost you know which goes with whic. have you seen anything like this?


Yes Janice I have seen that....time and time again,

~ funny you mention that I was just talking about that to my co writer. What the guest book attendant did was this...when the guest brought their gifts into the hall, she simply put a tiny little letter on the gift and on the card. It was pretty subtle without taking it away from the guests wrapping. (putting numbers is tacky it makes it look as though you are counting how many you get) She also didnt rush the guests, waiting for them to leave and them quickly jotting it down. She never even missed one! Then later when you are trying to find the match..voila!
