Hi,

I have been studying up on weddings & it has been brought to my attention that there are certain legal forms that need to be filled out within 6 months of the wedding date. My wedding date is approaching soon & I have just about finished all my planning but I'm not sure about this. Can you give me any advice or explain how it all works or websites to visit to receive more information on Wedding Registration within Australia?

Hi Cheryl, I am not entirely what the legal papers are in the US that have to be filed. In Canada we just get the marriage licence at least a month prior to getting married, and then once you are married the person who officiates the ceremony files the registration papers with the government and a couple weeks later your get a marriage certificate in the mail. That is pretty much all that happens here, I would think you might want to look in the search engines for any kind of legal documents needed for marriage.
