too much color?
Name: tami
Question:
Hi, I am planning on holding our reception in a beautiful hall that has stone walls, wooden ceilings and a a burgundy carpet with gold accents. I happen to love these colors, so our wedding colors are burgundy, gold, and ivory. Will burgundy linens with gold accents be too much? I was planning on burgundy linens with the gold accents with gold chivari chairs and ivory cushions with cream colored floral centerpieces. Will this be too much. Also, should our dinnerware be opaque glassware or gold trimmed ceramic? I don't want to go overboard with the matchy-matchy. Thank you so much
It is better to match than to clash Tami, and it doesn't sound too much like the colors that are in the hall go any higher than the floor really so you are fine to use the linens planned. I would say that you should go with the gold trimmed ceramic and more ivory if you can just so that the lower part of the room isn't too dark. Sounds like a beautiful place to be having a reception, have fun with it!
