Wedding Programs

Name: Tamra
Question:

I've not found much information by way of the wedding programs (wording, etiquette, etc). I'm unsure if I need to utilize this piece of stationary or not.
I'm having a rather small affair (under 50 guests) in a basic Lutheran church with no specialties by way of the ceremony. The reception following will be an afternoon tea style reception lasting until dinner where guests will be sent away as the Bride and Groom leave to our honeymoon destination.
To be totally honest, in all the weddings I've attended, I don't believe I've ever seen a wedding program. Doesn't mean that they were not utilized, however, I've never recieved one. If you could clue me in a bit to the etiquette of programs, maybe offer some sites where I can see some wording styles and what is included I would be appreciative.
Sincerely
Tamra, Traverse City

Hi Tamra,

I see why you are unsure of the wedding program. Like most finaly touches, they are purley dependant on person taste. The one reason I do advise them is because it gives the people attending the ceremony to hold on to something official with your afficiants name and people involved in the wedding. However it is completely up to you both. I found that going directly to your nearest Staples was one of the best things I did when I got married. They have a book available with all the templettes and examples you will need to jot up something quick and easy. You can look what they have and take some quick note. I thnk even printing up a classic one would be perfect focusing around the event but keeping it romantic and airy as you jet off on your honeymoon!

Best of luck, Brandi
