Wedding theme, decorations & wedding favors
Name: Diana
Question:
Hi! I'm thinking of having a masquerade wedding. Do you think it's a good idea? As then guests will need to wear masks unless we scratch the 'mask' bit. It's gonna be a 10 course chinese dinner at a hotel's ballroom, will the theme sound outrageous?
If it's still ok to go on with the masquerade wedding, what should I decorate the place with? And what sort of wedding favors are advisable for such themed weddings? I was initially thinking of a jigsaw puzzle which has me and my fiance's picture on it. Thanks for helping!
What a fantasic idea for a reception, you can have so much fun with this one and people will talk about it for years to come. Invented in medieval times, Masquerade balls were actually held to celebrate weddings, or other monumental events and generally consisted of large meals, so your 10 course dinner idea is perfect! You could try to decorate in a rennissance era theme or even abit of a medieval theme, Lots of candles and dimmer lighing would help to hide peoples identities as that was aminly what they were, a big game for people to try to figure out who is who. The jigsaw puzzle favor idea is great and you could get disposable cameras and put them on the tables because you would want to get alot of pictures at this fun filled event!
