Wedding Theme

Name: donna haley
Question:

My neice wants a Phantom of the Opera theme for her wedding and is looking for ideas for setting the stage at the theater where she is getting married. Bridesmaids are wearing black dresses. Where can we get ideas for decorations such as candles, flowers for attendants. She has a lighting specialists who will be lighting the stage from the projection room in the theater, but she needs lighting ideas. What about using old columns with ornate candleabras and long stemmed single roses for the attendants? Any suggestions for a striking floral arrangement or decorations for the aisles?

First and foremost I would watch the movie and the stage play (might be more difficult) as many times as possible to see what different things you may have missed in previous viewings. The fact that she is able to have the wedding on a stage in the theater is an amazing bonus because that is an important place in the Phantom of the Opera. It was all about the Roses so your suggestion to use roses is perfect, and yes Candles, candleabras and lots of them if you can. Even getting a fog/smoke machine or two to let abit of mist roll in at one time or another would add alot to the mood she is trying to portray...and maybe just for fun, some masqurade masks, like in the play...have fun with it, sounds like great fun and if you can send in some pictures we would love to see how this wedding turns out
