Some Unique Wedding Anniversary Gift Ideas

Some Unique Wedding Anniversary Gift Ideas Filed under: Wedding Anniversary — site admin @ 1:01 pm

It’s been a year since you’ve walked down in front of your best friend during her wedding. You want to get her a great wedding anniversary gift, but you don’t want it to be something that she’ll place in the back of the closet, never to look at again. Below are a few ideas that just might make the grade.

One idea for a wedding anniversary gift involves a little bit of pre-planning. If you managed to save the wedding invitation, pull it out. This idea will make a wonderful personal gift that your friend will be proud to hang on her wall. And it doesn’t cost very much; it merely takes a needlepoint framing oval, some material, and a few choice colors of thread. Take your time, use the invitation as your guide, and create a very elegant needlepoint wedding gift that both of the newlyweds will be sure to appreciate.

Another idea that is a great unique idea for an anniversary gift also takes a bit of planning, but its well worth it. The first step is to try and track down a few of her family members and friends to help with the creation of the gift idea. The second is to whip out your video cassette recorder and have everyone send them personal well wishes on their first anniversary. Granted, it takes a bit of effort, but a gift like this is well worth the effort.

A third idea for a gift for the anniversary is slightly more traditional, but nonetheless can be just as meaningful to the new couple. Tradition says that the first wedding anniversary gift should be made of paper. Therefore, a great gift would be to have personalized stationary designed for the happy couple. And instead of just having their names inscribed on the stationary, be sure to have an image that is just perfect for the two of them.

A fourth idea for a wedding anniversary gift that is sure to bring a smile to the face of your friend is something that is fairly simple to create. Again, this takes a little bit of forethought, but in the end, its well worth it. The pieces you need are a small plaque of wood, a few silk flowers, some glue, a pencil, and a wood burner, and some spray polyurethane. This wedding gift is created in three easy steps. Step one is to take the pencil and write a message congratulating the couple on their first year. Step two is to take the wood burner and carefully burn the message into the wood. Step Three is glue some of the silk flowers around the edge of the plaque and let it dry. Finally, step four is to spray the entire gift with polyurethane to preserve it for years to come.

By making your wedding anniversary gift idea a unique one you make sure that the gift you give will be treasured for years to come.
