Spring Weddings: Inspired by Nature

Spring Weddings: Inspired by Nature Filed under: Theme Wedding, Planning — site admin @ 3:17 pm

Spring Weddings are not all the same. Spring might mean nothing but pastel pinks and purples to one bride having her spring wedding in a church dressed in classical wedding style, another bride might be envisioning daffodils and daises filling the baskets at her outdoor wedding, as short skirts and swinging dresses canter down the aisle, and yet another spring bride might have already designed her ballroom wedding centerpieces with deep red roses containing subtle hints of rich pink blooms, with brides and bridesmaids in long silky formal wear. Casual spring picnic weddings, formal garden weddings, modern ballroom spring weddings, and of course, traditional church held spring weddings have one thing in common – they are all inspired by nature.

Nature is the inspiration for spring weddings, and your guiding light for spring wedding décor. Even without a spring wedding, nature fills our world with pastels of pink, purple and yellow, as well as deep red roses and spring tulips, and cool running waters that sparkles in the sun. Monarch butterflies, baby bluebirds, and red robins fill the spring air - and hopefully the spring sunshine. Nature’s inspiration is what makes spring weddings so alive. It is up to every spring bride to find their unique inspiration from spring for their special Spring Wedding. Once that inspiration is found, it is easy to embroider the spring theme through every step of the wedding. Weaving simple elements of your spring inspiration throughout your spring wedding plans will give you the Spring Wedding you have always dreamed of.

Your spring inspiration can find its creative start in the unique wedding invitations. Incorporate your motif, whether it’s rolling vines, metamorphasized butterflies, or deep rich forests, into your wedding invitations or save the date cards. It could be shown in the choice of colors you choose for your invitation, the texture of the paper, or in the embellishments and designs.

There’s no doubt that one of the most important colors you’re going to choose is in the bridesmaid dresses. Although it’s tradition to have the bridesmaid dresses the same color, a spring wedding gives you the opportunity to design bridesmaid dresses of different colors that compliment the many flowering colors of spring. Giving each bridesmaid a choice of spring color within your chosen spring color palette also allows for the bridesmaid dress to more aptly match the skin tone of the wearer of the dress, resulting in a more confident and relaxed bridesmaid. Another alternative is to choose multi-colored bridesmaid dresses instead of a sheer solid if you are looking for a strong colorful vibrant spring wedding.

To maximize the theme of your spring wedding, consider your spring inspiration in the context of its location. Is it by a lake? Incorporate all natural elements of a lake; include small pebbles and the sound of running water surrounding the wedding centerpieces. Or make the centerpieces of a rock garden rather than a bouquet of flowers, adding pieces of colored glass and rich green mosses and water friendly plants to brighten the affect. Have your dessert buffet set upon cool blue colors and have the buffet arranged around a lighted water fountain, surrounded with trees and gentle white lights.

If your inspiration is in spring flowers, consider where the flowers grow, their form, shape and scent. Do they grown tall and straight or are they round, flowy or bountiful? Design your spring wedding around the lines and textures of the wedding flowers. Perhaps choose a closer fit for the bridesmaid dresses if you prefer a flower such as a tulip, and choose tall slim colorful centerpieces that bloom at the top and provide a high impact. Choose satiny tablecloths and deeper hues. If field flowers are more your style, dress your bridesmaids in swinging skirts that twirls when they dance, and fill your tables with low bountiful bouquets of wispy flowers on soft billowy tablecloths. Whichever your style, put an elegant touch on your wedding cake for your spring wedding. Add some real petals or sugar flowers for the added spring flair.

Spring Weddings are alive, fresh and beautiful. Spring brings its own palette of spring colors, and every bride has almost infinite choices for her spring wedding theme. If you are dreaming of a spring wedding, find your inspiration in nature and carry it through every aspect of your wedding design. Nature is the best wedding designer, and the Bride is the one who should choose the spring wedding design.
