Top Beach Wedding Tips
Nothing is more romantic and memorable than having your wedding at the beach. Couples, who are planning to get married, often choose beach weddings because of that reason.
Looking for a perfect location to host your beach wedding is perhaps the hardest part, unlike the other wedding venues available. There are certain things that you have to consider to make sure that your wedding will become a success. This will help you decide the perfect time and date the wedding should take place.
Firstly, we cannot deny the fact that there is nothing we can do to fight the forces of nature. This pertains to the waves. Waves may sound relaxing if it is just small waves. However if the waves are so big and crashing to the big stones near the seashore, the sound it produces is intimidating and not relaxing at all. Your guests may find it difficult to hear and understand the whole wedding ceremony. The high tide and low tide should also be measured. Make sure that it is low tide during your wedding because high tide could sweep you off the beach.
Another thing that you have to pay attention to is the bugs and mosquitoes that roam around the beach area. For sure you don't want your guests to be bothered or bitten by these mosquitoes. It is best if you are prepared for it and arrange for necessary preventive measures. You can light citronella candles because it helps drive away the insects. You can also hand your guest with bug repellant.
The weather at the beach also plays a huge factor in deciding what time the
theme wedding should take place. If you choose to have your wedding at noon, expect a lot of sun. It is also hard for the photographer and for the couple and the guests as well to take pictures because the light of the sun will reflect to the camera.
The temperature of the sand is also a huge turn off for guests. Of course who would want to walk and get their feet burned in the sand?
The best time of the day to tie the knot is early in the morning when the sun is just rising or late afternoon where the sun will set. Actually the setting of the sun is a very romantic sight for weddings and for a lot of lovers as well.
Provide a good footpath for your guests to walk. For sure they will stand on the beaches for the whole period of the wedding ceremony since chairs will just sink in the sand. Make them feel as comfortable as possible. Some guests may find it hard to walk on the beach especially the elders. You can place dried grass to serve as walkways if you want.
Lastly comes the footwear factor. You don't want to walk on the sand wearing stilettos, do you? Brides and grooms often select the footwear that would go well with the beach but of course with the wedding dress as well.
