It is quite natural for you to want to look your best for your wedding day. It is not possible to look the best on this special day; you have to start some fitness and personal training regime some time before the wedding.
Your fitness and personal training plan will have to be a combination of supportive nutrition, resistance training, cardio training, mental training and social support. With supportive nutrition, you have to eat the right foods in the right proportions so that your weight loss efforts are supported.
This means you have to eat 5-6 meals a day with fruits, vegetables, lean proteins and healthy grains. Any exercise that adds extra resistance to your muscles constitutes resistance training. This can be weight squats, sit-ups, push-ups or lifting dumbbells for 30 minutes a few times a week is more than enough to tone up your muscles.
Cardio training helps burn fat and calories
The cardio training part of fitness and physical training schedule is any moderate activity that increases your heart rate for 20 – 30 minutes. This can be hiking, swimming, sports, jogging and any activity that you enjoy doing. These exercises condition your heart and burn calories and fat from your body.
Mental training is an important part of your fitness plan to keep you motivated and to maintain continuity in your plan, no matter how much discouragement you may undergo. It is important that you stay on track, so that you can reach the ideal figure goal you are looking for your wedding day.
Social support is an important part of your fitness regime
The social support portion of your fitness and physical training plan has to come from your friends, family, neighborhood group, coach or church. This is because it has been proven through research that those who follow programs with social support always have better outcomes than those without social support.
The reason for this is accountability where people are more likely to continue with a program when held accountable for it via weekly contracts. Moreover, if you are under some negative stress, you can always reach out to your social support for some encouragement.
Aim to lose fat, and not weight
Besides all this, the most important thing to remember for a successful wedding fitness and physical training plan is to start the plan as soon as possible, and to keep going. You may need 10 – 30 weeks to reach your goal, depending on your present fitness position. Make it a point to lose 1-2 pounds of fat and not just weight every week.
Losing weight means losing water and muscle tissue to make you look like a skinnier fat version of yourself. However by losing fat, your figure gets revealed to give a lean, toned and sexy look for your wedding day. Remember that your wedding is a once in a lifetime event; ask yourself how you intend to look on this special day, and you just have to plan and follow your fitness plan to make this a reality.
