Wedding Party Favors for Guests

Wedding Party Favors for Guests Filed under: Wedding Favors — site admin @ 10:10 am

Putting on a wedding is like working a full time job. Brides and grooms have to plan for guests, book the venues, worry over menus, and decide on wedding music. There is also an entire wedding party to outfit and many people to organize. Even though a lot of planning goes into a wedding, whether it is large or small, it is the personal touches to these events that really says something about the couple making this commitment. One of the best ways to show your individuality is through wedding party favors.

Brides no longer just have a choice of Jordan Almonds or chocolates as party favors (although these are still very popular choices); favors today can range from a small, scented candle to a one-hour feature film about the couple on DVD. Whatever you choose for your big day, be sure that it would be something that you would want to take home yourself. Or perhaps your husband would like them so much, he would try to have you put extras in your purse and sneak them out of the reception!

For the crafty and cost-conscious brides, do-it-yourself favors can be the best option for wedding party favors. There are hundreds of gift box options to choose from and even more options on how to fill them. Fill a pretty Chinese take-out party box with rose petal soaps, tea light candles, petit-fours or for something special, give a small bag of potting soil with flower seed packet wedding favors - to mark the occasion. Top this off with a printed label or decorative card with your names and the wedding date, and you have a well-packaged and memorable wedding favor.

Wedding party favors can also be lavish and expensive – it all depends upon your budget and your imagination. Some wedding favors can be traditional, yet useful such as a silver letter opener or place card holders that can be used later as picture frames. Glass is also a favorite wedding party favor, with elegant items such as glass heart ornaments, colored glass coasters and chunky glass favor vases decorating reception tables. For a real expensive treat, create a one-of-a-kind scent at a perfume boutique wrapped in your very own label.

Finally, wedding favors can be truly unique – the sky’s the limit! One fun-loving couple made their engagement photo into a temporary tattoo to give to every guest. Couples could give out salt and pepper shakers, a magic bean that, when planted, shows a message on the sprout like “love” or the wedding date. Give guests a peek into their future with chocolate dipped fortune cookies complete with a personalized note inside. Alternatively, for the truly outrageous, give guests something they can really use personalized bride and groom toilet paper!

Whatever you choose for your unique favor ideas, make sure that they reflect a little about you as a couple. Favors should be enjoyed by everyone and serve as a reminder of the beautiful wedding day.
