Wedding Video Ideas for the Ceremony

Videography involve as much or even more skills, materials, equipment and labor as the still photography. But unfortunately, Videography is mostly considered to be secondary amongst important list that contains rings, flowers, photos, decoration, catering, etc, of newly-weds.

Truly, it may actually pass as secondary because watching wedding videos may not be necessarily as they start new life. The question now is: “How can newly-weds get wedding videos at little or no cost?”
Now, let me point out some salient ideas for you.

Firstly, carefully select a friend, brother, cousin, an uncle (any trusted person close to you), whom you’d discovered enthusiastically, believe he’s as great as Spielberg and Coppola combined, and loves to shoots at any occasion; be it birthday, graduation, vacation or even Halloween.
Do you have such a person? Now, write his name on your list, and honor him to film your entire wedding day. Once you both agree, inform him this assignment will go down in your memory as the best wedding gift for you. And, who knows - it may actually be!

But you’ll more advantaged if your ‘great videographer’ had been to weddings, or filmed at a wedding before. At any rate, equipped him with extra tapes and extra battery, and if not, let him have 3 - 4 hours worth of tapes and compatible batteries, which you either buy or borrow from friends and relations.
Please let him know your inner-desires, and in turn, listen to his own concern – whether he can reliably film the entire day, and if not – let him handle only the ceremony and opening/closing of the reception. Notwithstanding, ask if he can film at your place and groom’s place, before the ceremony proper. But if he can’t, simply let it go and focus on the real ceremony.

Now, in case you’re blessed with more than one such ‘great videographer,’ you’re in luck! But agreed with them not to film as 2-3-camera crew, except for the main ceremony. If the events are shot on two separate tapes, you may end up watching two imperfect videos or paying much for the editing. (But since we’re concern about cost saving, you may not worry about cost of editing.)

Instead, ask them to take turns separately. As an example, the first enthusiast may cover the bride’s place, while the other covers the groom’s place. After, they both will film the church ceremony from two different angles, to enable you choose the better version for keeps. And, don’t forget to let them take turns so as to catch some fun during reception.

Lastly, deliberately point them to great source of knowledge-giving information about wedding video.
